Fraser and Fraser has scooped the prestigious Paralegal Business of the Year Award at the National Paralegal Awards 2019.
The firm fought off fierce competition to take the honours in this inaugural event, which has been launched by the Professional Paralegal Register (PPR) and is scheduled to become an annual highlight.
The judging panel featured senior figures from across the legal industry, including Amir Ali, chairman of the Civil Court Users’ Association, Mark Solon, chairman of Wilmington Legal, and Sally Penni, barrister and founder of Women in the Law and Business UK.
The judges said: “This is an impressive business on a number of fronts. It is a long-standing, well-established firm with a commitment to client service and to the community.”
Commenting on the award, Fraser and Fraser partner Neil Fraser said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised as Paralegal Business of the Year, especially given the impressive organisations that were also nominated in the category.
“The firm is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, which makes this award doubly welcome.”
“It’s very satisfying for everyone in the firm to be recognised in this way for all their hard work and professionalism and the fact they are always ready to go the extra mile for their clients.”
Rita Leat, managing director of the PPR, said: “Achieving the award of Paralegal Business of the Year is incredible as the standard was so high. The independent judging panel was impressed with the work undertaken at Fraser and Fraser, and the PPR is delighted that the winner takes regulation seriously with all of its qualifying staff holding Paralegal Practising Certificates.”
The awards event took place on Friday 29 March at London’s May Fair Hotel. In what was a memorable evening for Fraser and Fraser, Neil Fraser was also the runner-up in the Probate Researcher of the Year, receiving a highly commended recognition, the only one in the category.
