Fraser and Fraser is a firm of professional genealogists and international probate researchers who are at the forefront of the industry.

We provide specialist research and support services to the legal professions by tracing missing heirs and beneficiaries to unclaimed estates worldwide.

With over 90 years of experience, we have built up a network of European offices and developed partnerships and working relationships with professional genealogists around the world.

THE RESEARCH PROCESS INVOLVES:

  • Local enquiries: Our friendly and experienced team of Senior Travelling Researchers – most of whom served in the Police Force – visit heirs and other family members face-to-face. They also conduct research in libraries and record offices.
  • Birth, death and marriage indexes: We have our own copy of these vital records to help up build family trees.
  • Historical family trees: Our years of experience means we have a huge collection of family trees, dating back from the 1960s.
  • In-house library: We have a diverse collection of historical records and electoral rolls.
  • Probate research technology: We use custom-made technology and a variety of online archives for genealogical research.
  • People-finding software: We use a number of different programs to complete our research, from a multiple of suppliers and credit agencies.
  • International Partnerships: We have worked side-by-side with a number of overseas partners for many years, supporting our research in countries around the world.
  • Global coverage: We have offices around the world including France, Poland, Italy and Scandinavia.
